Leanne is a dynamo. She took her home-based embroidery business from Maryland to Florida, added a bought-business to it with:
• Screen printing
• Multi-head embroidery machines
• Vinyl cutting
• Applique

Leanne from Sweet Tees in Lakeland, Florida is one of over 30,000 people that we’ve started in or helped grow a custom t-shirt business.
In this case, it was grown by adding a Digital HeatFX T-Shirt Transfer system to a business she bought – to move her and her kids from Maryland to Florida.
She made the move about 3.5 years ago by purchasing Lake Gibson Tees, an established business, then buying and selling equipment to fit her vision of the business she wanted.
Originally, she had a part-time, home-based embroidery business based on her brother embroidery machine. Then, when the need arose, she made the big change to Florida and added a wide variety of apparel decorating technology.
“I looked for an entire year before I bought my Digital HeatFX t-shirt transfer system. Then I sold my automatic screen-printing press” Leanne reported that she kept her manual press for large, single or 2 color jobs and uses her Digital HeatFX OKI pro84322WT and Heat Press for the rest.
“Heat Transfer printing is really the future of my business,” Leanne said. “Right now, I’m in a retail space and looking to get out of it to go with an internet based, home-based business”.
It took a year for Leanne to decide on the Digital HeatFX system. After dismissing DTG for not being as flexible as she needed and expanding her embroidery business with a few more Tajima embroidery machines, she found her sweet spot.
“What I really want to do is sell t-shirt transfers. Unless you’re doing spandex, the Digital HeatFX system makes a transfer you can apply to almost anything -and that makes a great home-based business”.
